Colleen is a speech pathologist and feeding therapist witih AZOPT Kid's Place. She received her Master's Degree from University of Maryland. Colleen has lived all over the United States, but has been back living in the Phoenix area for the past 8 years. She has three high-energy children who keep her on her toes. "I feel blessed to be able to come to work everday in a place that feels like a second home. I appreciate the trust that families place in us to help their children grow and develop their potential. I have learned far more from children than from anyone else in my life!" Outside of her work and family, Colleen enjoys travel (or reading about travel these days), yoga and cooking.

Nichole Hagerty, DPT

Nichole is a pediatric physical therapist. She was born in Washington State, and moved to South Dakota as a teenager. She attended college at Morningside College in Sioux City, IA. In college she swam on her collegiate team, and spent many hours teaching swim lessons to a variety of kids. She continued her education at the University of Iowa where she received her doctorate in physical therapy. After graduation, Nichole was able to move out to Arizona and start on her life-long dream of working with children who have special needs. She continues to enjoy swimming, reading, and exploring the great state of Arizona.

Bobbi Michels, PT

Bobbi is a pediatric physical therapist at AZOPT Kid’s Place. She grew up in the small town of Dayton in the great state of Wyoming. She completed her undergrad work at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.  When she left  “Big Sky” country initially, it was to pursue her dream of becoming a physical therapist.  Bobbi graduated from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque with her physical therapy degree. She then married, and moved to the Phoenix valley.  She has since lived throughout the valley, but now considers Goodyear her home. Bobbi spends most of her free time enjoying scouting, hiking, camping and other family activities with her husband and four children.

Liezel Fernandez, OTR/L

Liezel is a graduate of Emilio Aguinaldo College in Manila, Philippines, one of four colleges in the Philippines that are accredited through the World Federation of Occupational Therapy.  Liezel completed internships at the Philippine General Hospital, Philippine Orthopedic Center, and Philippine Children’s Medical Center before moving to the United States to accept a Pediatric Occupational Therapy position in Virginia.  Liezel originally started her education and career working in the mental health field.  After working with children at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center, Liezel made the decision to pursue Pediatric Occupational Therapy permanently.  She chose to work at Kid’s Place because of the opportunity to grow and learn under the mentorship of the Clinic Manager, Josh.  Liezel was married in 2007 and enjoys watching action movies.  She is also an avid cook who enjoys making traditional Philippine cuisine.

Lanni Reisinger, M.Ed., CFY-SLP

Lanni is a speech pathologist at Kid's Place.  As a graduate student, Lanni accepted a Research and Teaching Assistant position where she participated in projects and research in the Child Language Disorders Lab.  Through her clinical experiences in Speech-Language Pathology, Lanni assisted clients 2 years of age to clients in the geriatric population.  She has experience with disorders of fluency, articulation, dysphagia, voice, expressive, and receptive language in addition to clients with autism spectrum disorder, dementia, childhood apraxia of speech, emotional disorders and learning disabilities.  Lanni was a 3 year captain of the McDaniel College volleyball team and a volunteer assistant coach for a local girls’ volleyball team.  She also traveled to the Dominican Republic in 2008 to volunteer in schools with deaf children and is a member of the National Student Speech Language Hearings Association.

 Jessica Holyoke, OTR/L

Jessica is a local Goodyear resident and graduate of Millennium High School.  Jessica went on to Northern Arizona University where she completed her Bachelors of Science in Biology before attending Midwestern University in Glendale to complete her Masters of Art in Occupational Therapy.  Jessica’s first clinical fieldwork was with AZOPT Kid’s Place, and we’re excited to have her back.  She brings with her experience in multiple settings of occupational therapy.  In the past, Jessica has also volunteered with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Arizona and as a volleyball coach at a local high school.  She was a three sport athlete in high school, playing volleyball, basketball, and softball.

 Heather Burke

Heather is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant at Kid’s Place.  She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Speech Therapy at Arizona State University, but has worked in various school settings throughout the past 7 years.  Heather is an energetic, enthusiastic and caring person who believes “all individuals can learn and flourish in an environment that is safe, stimulating, inviting, and appropriate to each person’s individual needs and abilities.” Heather comes to Kid’s Place highly recommended by her peers as a highly motivated, genuine, and honest person.
